PADI Advanced Open Water Course

What's involved?

So you're already a PADI Open Water diver or you have trained with another certifying agency and you want to take your diving to a new level - read on!
The PADI Advanced Open Water certification widens your diving horizons, allowing you to try new things underwater and improve your diving skills. The course comprises five "adventure" dives, with each dive focusing on a different diving discipline. Two of the five dives are mandatory - Navigation and Deep diving. Then you can pick three other dives from the list of dives available below.

Each adventure dive includes a short academic module to ensure you understand the theory behind the practical work - but don't worry, one of our instructors will lead you through all you need to know.
The Advanced Open Water certification will open new opportunities for you in diving and will tell others you are serious about your sport. After certification you will be qualified to dive to 30 metres, opening many more diving options for you.

Who is the course for?

To take this course you must be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver or have an equivalent certification from another diving training agency.

How much does it cost?

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course costs £250 and this includes all your PADI certification fees and equipment hire. We typically run the course over a weekend so you will need to budget for travel to the dive site, site entrance fees and a nights hotel accommodation (we have negotiated competitive rates with local hotels).

Is there anything else I need to know?

Each of your Adventure Dives represent the first dive of the asociated PADI Specialty, so for example after you complete the Deep dive, you will receive credit for this should you wish to go on and complete the PADI Deep Diver specialty (certifying you to 40 metres). This means you would need to complete three dives instead of the usual four to gain the specialty - well worth thinking about!
